Interhouse Competition Senior Girls

The competition kicked off in Week 3 with the senior girls matches. The first of the round robin games was a tight contest between Newton and Tyndale. Wycliffe won their first match, but Newton finished on top with a big win over Wycliffe in their last encounter.

The Grand Final proved to be an EPIC clash between Tyndale and Wycliffe. With both teams determined to win, the ball was constantly contested. Players struggled to position themselves to take the shots at goal they wanted. Today we had our annual Kindy and Pre-Primary Marvellous Morning for Mums!

We had a wonderful morning celebrating our marvellous mums and all that they do to look after us. Over fifty women attended, which was a fantastic turn out. Almost all the children were able to have a mum, aunty, sister, or grandmother attend.

After much planning and preparation, last Saturday the Wilson Campus was filled with the sounds of joy, fun, chatter, and laughter as community was celebrated. There were opportunities for families to safely enjoy the many activities, purchase bargains, and indulge in some very tasty food!

What is Sukkah?

What is a sukkah? (Pronounced sookah, not sucker!)

On Tuesday, our Year 3 students constructed a sukkah, or booth, according to the Jewish instructions for the Feast of Tabernacles or Sukkoth. Every year, as they celebrated the feast, Jewish people built a structure with four walls; normally three were covered and a roof made from natural plant material, which is shady during the day and open to the sky at night.

Mother and Daughter Afternoon Tea

One Thursday afternoon, the Mums, Grandmothers, Aunts and Daughters gathered to fellowship and share afternoon tea. There was great fun with the ‘handbag competition’, a craft activity of making photo frames, the excitement of getting dressed up to have a photo taken and of course a delicious afternoon tea.
