Canteen Assistant (0.44 FTE)
We are seeking a Part-Time Canteen Assistant to work alongside the Canteen Manager in the operation of our busy school canteen at our Kenwick Campus. To be successful for this role you must be able to communicate effectively with young people, parents and staff, liaise with suppliers, purchase and prepare fresh ingredients and pack orders. This is a fixed term contract for 33 hours per fortnight to commence as soon as possible in Term 4 2021. The hours will be evenly spread over Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The contract may be extended by negotiation and agreement between both parties.
Essential criteria for the successful candidate:
- be actively involved in a local Protestant Christian Church and be able to demonstrate an exemplary Christian lifestyle;
- must hold or be willing to attain a certificate in food hygiene and safety;
- must hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check; and
- must hold or be willing to obtain a Department of Education Police Clearance Check no more than three months old.
