It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High
The schools came alive with the sound of music as the Year 5-6 Bands at both Kenwick and Wilson held a relaxing lunchtime concert for students to enjoy.
As lunches were munched on, handballs were bounced around, and soccer goals were kicked, beautiful melodies, interesting rhythms, and warm harmonies filled the air.
Younger students pretended to take videos with invisible cameras and sang along so heartily that some members of the Band said they had difficulty hearing the other musicians! Older students watched intently as different instruments were skilfully played. Parents and staff enjoyed listening to the delightful sounds and encouraged the Band with their enthusiastic applause.
‘When are the Bands playing next?’ was the most-asked question after the concert!
