2022 Primary Interhouse Swimming Carnival

2022 Primary Interhouse Swimming Carnival

Although the Carnival looked different from previous years, it was a blessing to be able to continue with the event.

On Wednesday 16 March, seventy-seven Year 4-6 students from both Primary campuses participated in a modified Primary Interhouse Swimming Carnival, held at Riverton Leisureplex.

Although the Carnival looked different from previous years – with a lot less events, students and noise – it was a blessing to be able to run the 50m Freestyle, 50m Breaststroke and 50m Backstroke events for competent and willing swimmers to participate in. It was especially encouraging to see a large number of Year 4 students nominate for the 50 metre races at their very first Primary School Swimming Carnival! In fact, a couple of the Year 4 boys had faster times than our Year 6 boys! It was wonderful to celebrate the gifts God has given each student as well as the hours and effort many of them had put into training for this Carnival.

Congratulations to the following students for their individual achievements on the day.

Year 4 Boy Champion Eli Strahan
Year 4 Boy Runner Up Aaron Zhang

Congratulations Newton!

We were very thankful that the Swimming Carnival could go ahead in a more limited capacity this year. A big thank you to all staff, parents and students who attended, volunteered and participated in the events, helping to make it a great morning where we could celebrate success, practice humility and encourage others.
