Yr 3 Blue Learn About Fire Safety

This term, the Year 3 Blue class had the opportunity to learn about fire safety and prevention during a visit from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES). The DFES team explained about ways on how to respond to a fire emergency. The students had a chance to also use the giant hose!

Here are some take-aways that the students had from the DFES visit:

I've learned that it is good to have an emergency escape plan. The most important thing that you need to have in your house is a smoke alarm.

I learned about the "metre from the heater".

I learned that a smoke alarm should be in every room in the house.

I learned how to be safe from the fire.
