The challenge of building a barely floating raft, coupled with the icy shock of the freezing water, made for an unforgettable adventure.
Year 8 Camp was an unforgettable experience for the Year 8 cohort – an experience filled with excitement, laughter, and a touch of chaos. The atmosphere buzzed with energy, from the delicious meals to the thrilling activities that brought everyone closer together.
Highlights included friendly basketball games, the challenge of building a barely floating raft (coupled with the icy shock of the freezing water), the near misses while mountain biking near boulders, the challenge and panic of losing our way while orienteering trek, and the joy of late-night conversations with friends.
Despite the challenges, these moments became cherished memories, the kind that grow funnier and more meaningful with time. It was during this time that the students gained a deeper appreciation for the school community and the comforts of home.
