Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into His presence with singing!
On Tuesday 20 September, the Wilson campus held its first ever Praise Party for the Year 4 and 5 students and it went off with a BANG! With close to sixty students in attendance, they showcased a variety of dance moves to some praise and worship songs.
The theme for the Praise Party was fluoro and featured many students (and teachers!) dressed in bright and colourful attire. Mr Hunter, Miss Perin and Mr Seow hosted the afternoon with the intention of creating a space where each student was able to give praise to God for all He has done across the term.
We began the party with the well-known Psalm, Psalm 100 (a Psalm of Thanksgiving):
Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!
Serve the LORD with gladness!
Come into His presence with singing!
Know that the LORD, He is God!
It is He who made us, and we are His;
we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving,
and His courts with praise!
Give thanks to Him; bless His name!
For the LORD is good;
His steadfast love endures forever,
and His faithfulness to all generations.
Worship songs that we sang were God’s Not Dead, One Way and Lighthouse. We paused for a snack break in between songs and ate delicacies provided by some of our incredible parents.
