In a whirlwind of creativity and collaboration, students and staff turned imagination into impact. They crafted entire books in just one day to support children’s cancer research and celebrate the God-given gift of storytelling.
On 19 August 2025, Rehoboth Christian College proudly participated in the annual Write a Book in a Day challenge.
Beyond raising vital funds for children’s cancer research, the event highlighted our students’ remarkable endurance, creativity, and perseverance. Three student teams—and even a staff team competing in the Open category—transformed ideas into fully fledged books within a single day.
In the lead-up to the event, students honed their skills in illustration, writing, and teamwork, preparing for the ultimate creative marathon. From 8am to 9pm, they wrote, illustrated, and collaborated tirelessly to produce imaginative and original stories from scratch.
The day concluded with a special reading of the completed works. Though pleasantly exhausted, participants shared in the joy and accomplishment of their hard-earned creations. We celebrate our students and staff, and the opportunity to enjoy our Creator’s gifts of creativity and community.
Physical copies of all teams’ books are available to read in the LRC and will be published on the Write a Book in a Day website in the coming months.
