For some it was ‘welcome back’, for others it was ‘welcome to,’ but for everyone it was a great way to start the year!

After school on Friday 10 February, the Wilson community enjoyed our first community event – a Welcome Back BBQ. Big Childcare was incredibly generous and provided a free sausage sizzle and drinks for everyone. Some of our amazing dads from the Fathering Project volunteered to help cook and serve.
We were blown away by the turnout and estimated that we had about 180 people come along. It was a great opportunity to catch up with each other after the holiday break and get to know the new families in our College community.
A huge thank you to Big Childcare for their generosity, our dads for volunteering their time and energy, and thank God for some beautiful weather.
We look forward to seeing you again at other community events this year!
