Tuesday, 27 October saw our Primary Athletics Team competing at the WACSSA Primary Jumps and Throws Carnival. The Carnival was held at Langford Sporting Complex and the conditions were perfect for a great day of competition. Students competed in long jump and, for the first time, shot put and turbo javelin. Competition was fierce and our Rehoboth team had to perform at their peak. There were many inspiring performances throughout the day and all students upheld an excellent level of sportsmanship.

Samuel not only won the Year 6 Boys long jump but also set a new record with a massive jump of 4.68m – inspiring stuff! It’s also worth mentioning that all the students that came first in the shot put and turbo javelin also set the record for their respective year groups as this carnival was the first time these events had been run.
The way the students performed on the day was a testament to the hard work done back at school in the lead up to the event. Thank you to Mrs Klomp and Mrs Norman for their excellent training of the students and their coordination on the day.
It was a fantastic day of competition and a wonderful opportunity for the students to demonstrate their God given gifts in the area of jumps and throws!
