WACSSA Primary Cross Country Carnival 2022

WACSSA Primary Cross Country Carnival 2022

Well done to all of our Cross-Country runners and the way they shared their gifts to represent the College!

Following our Primary Cross-Country Carnival, the three fastest competitors in each event were selected for the WACSSA Primary Cross-Country Carnival. This Interschool Carnival was held on Friday 26 August at Thomas Oval in Medina.

Much like with our own school carnival, competitors were greeted with excellent weather conditions conducive to a great day of Cross-Country running. This year the school bays were moved to the side of the oval, a little further away from the start. This really added to the excitement as the runners streamed past the bays to the cheers and chants of the students and parents on the sidelines!

All students ran to the best of their ability and represented the College well. There were some standout performances who were acknowledged with special awards:

Year 2 Girls Gold – Chloe vS
Year 2 Girls Silver – Chrystal L
Year 4 Boys Bronze – Eli S
Year 6 Girls Bronze – Ilse B

Out of a total of nineteen schools, Rehoboth finished a very respectable 4th overall, which was a testament to the consistency of our students’ performances over the carnival.

Special thanks to Mrs Narelle Henderson and Mrs Nicole Marmion for their invaluable assistance in organising the students and also marshalling duties out on the track. It was also great to see a number of our parents and extended families present to cheer and support the students throughout the carnival.

Well done to all of our Cross-Country runners and the way they shared their gifts to represent the College!
