ACC Cross Country 2018

Rehoboth’s second season in the ACC continued earlier this year with the Interschool Cross Country Competition at Perry Lakes Reserve. Frisbees Meets Golf in Outdoor Rec Class

Over the course of Term 3 in Outdoor Recreation, Year 9 students have been learning a game called Disc Golf which they have played at a number of locations off-campus. Played similar to golf, but with frisbees, the premise is to throw the frisbees into a cage basket in the least number of throws.

The Primary Cross Country Carnival was held on a stunning August day at the Mills Park Sporting Complex. This represented a change of venue for the Primary, who have usually held the event at the Kenwick Campus. With a new venue came a new set of challenges for the students to undertake, with the cross country track being run through a variety of surfaces and terrains.

Heat and Humidity No Barrier for Athletic Tori

Tori Moss (Year 9) was selected to represent WA in the International Athletics Championships, held in Singapore on 11-12 July. The Championships allowed Tori to put her Little Athletics training to the test against a tough field of competitors.

Primary Soccer Grand Final 2018

The House Soccer Final was held between Newton and Tyndale on 22 June. Newton had never won the event and went in as underdogs. The two teams clashed the previous week where a late skirmish in front of goal resulted in a draw and a broken arm to one of Tyndale’s key players.

As part of the extra-curricular activities offered at Rehoboth, in Term 2 we have an after school soccer competition involving the three Rehoboth Houses and a team from Regent College. Games are played at Thomas Moore Park, across the road from the Wilson Campus.

This year’s Secondary House Cross Country Carnival was held in late Autumn, rather than the middle of winter as before.

Year 7-8 Division Grand Final

The Raptors took on the table-topping Warriors to see who would come out on top in the Year 7-8 basketball grand final played today.

The game was hotly contested from the start, with each team going bucket for bucket.
