Year 5/6 Take on the Fiery Furnace

At last week’s Celebrations our Year 5/6B class produced a play from the Book of Daniel titled “The Fiery Furnace”.

It was a great reminder of how Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego stood by what they knew to be the Truth despite pressures and threats from worldly things.

Celebrating our Grandparents

We were delighted to be able to host our grandparents for Afternoon Tea followed by an Assembly in which all students participated. It was a wet and windy afternoon, but we were quite comfortable in the Multipurpose Room, although we are looking forward to being able to hold our special events in the Gym in the not-too-distant future!

To the Sunburnt Ear: Remembering the ANZACs 2018

Despite it being a week after the official observance, Rehoboth Christian College held the annual ANZAC Remembrance Assembly on Friday, 4 May.

Mr Farr’s Year 4 students recited the poem, “To the Sunburnt Ear” by Tony Gunter. They explained the history and the purpose behind the Slouch Hat worn by Australian Military, which inspired the poet to create the poem.

This morning, The Year 7-8 Endeavour Progam ran our ANZAC service. We had a time of reflection and commemoration for the amazing selflessness of our fellow countrymen in the Great War and armed services since then.
