Year 5/6 Discover the Uses and Purposes of Masks

In Year 5/6, we have being learning about masks. We examined decorative masks used in cultural celebrations, theatre, and art galleries, and we also looked at practical uses for masks, such as medical theatre masks, welder’s masks and gas masks.

Canning Show Youth Art Awards

This year Rehoboth did exceptionally well in the Youth Art Awards. We submitted a total of 60 entries out of which 22 entries were awarded prizes. The categories we entered were: Handicrafts, Hobby Ceramics, Painting and Drawing, and Photography. The prize-winning entries are currently on display in the Secondary Library.

Beautiful Words – Year 11 Drama

On Friday, 13 November at lunchtime in the gym, the Year 11 Drama General class performed Beautiful Words – abridged by Sean Riley. We spent all Semester working towards the performance, learning lines, rehearsing, making preparations for front of house, organising and designing costumes, and selling tickets.

Arts Festival Excellence

We had an amazing week celebrating the Rehoboth Arts Festival this year. The week commenced with a fantastic lunchtime concert by the Rehoboth Senior Worship Band, which was accompanied with a sausage sizzle by the Student Council.

Budding Year 4 Students Go Dotty for Art

It has been wonderful to see the way that the Year 4 students have embraced the Art program this year. The students have demonstrated a variety of techniques, creating vibrant Aboriginal Animal Dot Paintings and ANZAC Silhouettes, using poppies and other iconic images related to ANZAC, to great effect.
