With voices full of joy and hearts wide open, our Primary Choirs brought music, smiles, and meaningful moments to local aged care homes – and left with stories they’ll never forget!
Recently, both of our Primary Choirs had the privilege of visiting local aged care facilities – Amana Living Frederick Guest Hostel and Manoah Homes – for two heartwarming performances.
At each venue, the students sang beautifully and carried themselves with maturity. Beyond the music, what truly stood out was the way they connected with the residents. Their conversations were filled with curiosity, warmth, and genuine kindness. It was clear that many of our students would have happily stayed chatting for another half hour if time had allowed!
After the excursion, we heard so many lovely stories about the people that the children had met. For example, there was a gentleman who had sung baritone in a choir for 15 years, a lady who loved the children’s artwork so much that she gave the artwork kisses, and a 101-year-old resident! One student even experienced a surprise reunion with a family member.
These visits are always a highlight in our choir year, offering students a meaningful opportunity to share their music, build connections across generations, and use their God-given gifts to be a blessing to others. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing parent volunteers who helped make both excursions run smoothly. Your support and care were deeply appreciated. We’re so grateful to our parent photography team for capturing some of these special moments.
Soli Deo Gloria!
