Early in Term 4, Rehoboth had the opportunity to host the ACC SEAS Senior Volleyball Carnival.
Attending were Southern Hills Christian College, Providence Christian College, and Dale Christian School. It was a great day of excellent competition between the schools.
Our Senior Girls went undefeated throughout the day including winning their final over Providence. They were very focused and consistent and demonstrated great teamwork. The Senior Boys were very evenly matched with Dale and Providence, winning a set against each of them before only losing the tie-breaking set in each game by a mere few points. They missed out on qualifying for the final but demonstrated excellent skills, cool heads, and played fantastic as a team.
Apart from the obvious physical and mental health and wellbeing that comes from physical activity that is encouraged by these carnivals, Sport at Rehoboth also has the opportunity to bear a strong witness, even amongst other Christian Schools, in how we conduct ourselves, show sportsmanship, and encourage others when we do this for the glory of God.
