Our Year 9 students have five weeks to ready themselves for explaining a physics concept in a captivating way to primary school students. After these five weeks of researching, discussing, thinking, designing, improving, solving problems, and practising, they managed to put together Science Show 2026 on 19 August.
More than 350 students from Rehoboth’s two Primary Schools, along with the homeschooling community and East Kenwick Primary School attended Science Show 2026.
It was a blessing to see how our Year 9 students stepped up and explained the physics behind their experiments with enthusiasm while pointing to the amazing ways in which our Lord created this world.
There were inertia tricks performed, tea bag rockets launched, predictions made about how a surface would affect how far a ball or a car could go.
We heard many different sounds produced in a variety of ways, marvelled at magnetic fields and the behaviour of light, and had fun watching marbles, frozen bouncy balls, and various other balls obey the laws of physics.
Through it all our Year 9 students could experience God’s blessings, not just in the enjoyment of sharing their understanding, but also in learning together and serving their group members, while working together towards a common goal.
