Primary Students Participate in Run4Bibles Cross Country

The students arrived with excitement and nervous energy, but it was great to see true sportsmanship and humility being expressed throughout the day.

On Wednesday 4 August, the Year 2-6 students from both campuses participated in the Primary Run4Bibles Cross Country Carnival, held at Mills Park in Beckenham.

This is always a fun morning, where the Year 5 and 6 students are given the opportunity to run a 2km course, and the Year 2-4 students run a 1.5km course. Every student that participated earnt valuable points for their house. The top 3 runners from each race will have the opportunity to represent Rehoboth at the WACSSA Cross Country Interschool Carnival on Friday 27 August (Week 6 of Term 3).

It was a beautiful, sunny day that God blessed us with. We could not have asked for better weather! The students arrived with a lot of excitement and nervous energy, but it was great to see true sportsmanship and humility being expressed throughout the day. There was a lot of cheering and encouragement heard from the sidelines, which helped to spur on the runners to give their all and finish strong. Well done to the Year 6 students who took on extra responsibilities and leadership roles.

Congratulations to the Rehoboth community! We were able to raise a whopping total of $11,444.40 to donate to Bible League, which equals about 1635 Bibles to be delivered to students in South African public schools. What an amazing achievement and ability to spread God’s Word and serve His kingdom. Well done everyone!
