Rehoboth Students Achieve Top Rankings at Regional Numero Challenge
Celebrating strategy, teamwork, and incredible dedication in our second year of competition.
On October 24, two Rehoboth teams proudly competed in the AFG Primary Inter-School Numero Challenge for our region. Our teams were selected after a series of round-robin trials during Term 2 and 3. Students showed incredible dedication, often training during lunch breaks with Miss Gibbon.
As this was only our second year participating, our students came prepared with stronger strategies for the four event types: individual games, individual top take, team top take, and the crowd-favourite ‘Scramble,’ a fast-paced relay on a public display board. Alongside the competition, students received extra teaching on strategy and numeracy to sharpen their skills even further.
Both teams scored in the top six for nearly every event. The ‘Equivalent Einsteins’ finished 4th overall, while the ‘Algebra Aces’ placed 5th out of 18 teams. They were commended by the event educator for their teamwork and sportsmanship, which is an impressive achievement for just our second year in the challenge.
Congratulations to our students for their dedication, teamwork, and Christ-centred representation at the Inter-School Numero Challenge!
