Our Rehoboth swimmers demonstrated determination, teamwork and school spirit at the WACSSA Primary Swimming Carnival, earning an impressive third-place overall finish. With strong individual performances, enthusiastic support from the sidelines and plenty of encouragement throughout the day, it was a wonderful celebration of students using their God-given gifts in the pool.
The WACSSA Primary Swimming Carnival was held on Monday 30 March 2026, at the recently rebranded Perth High Performance Centre in the outdoor pool. The Rehoboth team were prepared and excited about a big day of competition. With the threat of a tropical cyclone off the coast of WA over the weekend, there were some initial concerns about what the weather for the carnival may by like. Fears quickly dissipated when it was obvious on the Monday that it was going to be a lovely day to be outdoors.
Our students eagerly worked to give their best in every event. As always, a number of our College community came down to support to the team, which also added to the buzzing atmosphere. It was pleasing to see the way our team encouraged each of our swimmers, if the race was a close one or if they were just bringing it home for another solid performance.
The following students performed consistently well over the carnival and were recognised for their individual efforts:
- Y4 Boys Gold – Oswald H
- Y5 Boys Bronze – Fraser R
- Y5 Girls Silver – Makayla H
Results were updated throughout the day, with Rehoboth edging our way into top group of schools for points. Following the completion of all events, it was announced that Rehoboth had finished a respectable third place overall, not very far behind the school in second. Well done to all our students for their performances in the pool and the way they conducted themselves throughout the day. It is a joy to see our students reflecting Christ’s example!

It was a wonderful day of competition, where school spirit and the joy seeing our students using their God-given gifts in the water, all contributed to an enjoyable day for everyone!
