Rebekah took on the significant challenge of competing at both the Australian Age MC Championships and the Australian Open Championships in swimming. Her exceptional performances at the Age Championships saw her win three gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal, earning her the prestigious Bob Bestman Trophy as the highest-achieving Western Australian athlete based on a points system.
In recognition of her remarkable national campaign, Rebekah was named a dual finalist in both the Age and Open Trophy Award categories at the national awards ceremony held in May. She went on to win the Age Trophy and also impressed against Australia’s top swimmers at the Open Championships, qualifying for five Open finals and narrowly missing a medal in the 50m Backstroke, finishing in an outstanding 4th place.
Hannah also enjoyed tremendous success during the April school holidays, competing in two major athletics championships in Brisbane. At the Australian Little Athletics National Championships, Hannah claimed silver in the Under 13 Girls Triple Jump with a leap of 10.95m. She followed this achievement at the Australian Athletics Junior National Championships, earning bronze in the Under 14 Girls Triple Jump with a jump of 10.96m. Hannah also demonstrated her versatility by qualifying for and competing in multiple events, placing 6th in the 200m hurdles, 12th in the 80m hurdles, and 5th in the Long Jump.
Noah represented Western Australia and Rehoboth at two major national swimming events this year: the Australian National Championships on the Gold Coast and the School Sport Australia Games in Melbourne. Competing against some of the country’s best swimmers, Noah performed strongly in both individual and relay events, with his relay team achieving an impressive 4th place finish in both the Medley Relay and Freestyle Relay.
Eli was selected to represent Western Australia and Rehoboth at the School Sport Australia Games in Melbourne. Eli had an outstanding meet, competing across four individual events and achieving personal best times in every race, demonstrating his hard work, dedication and continued improvement in the pool
These achievements reflect the dedication, perseverance and talent of all our students. We congratulate Rebekah, Noah, Eli and Hannah on their outstanding accomplishments and look forward to following their future sporting successes.
