Primary Cross Country Shines Through!

The College community came together and raised a whopping $10,316.20 via donations and sponsorship! Thank you to everyone who contributed to this great cause!

On Friday 12 August, following a spate of wet weather, the clouds finally parted, and the sunshine beamed down on our Primary Cross Country Carnival for 2022. This was a pleasant reminder to everyone how privileged it is to be outdoors in God’s wonderful creation! All students in Years 2 to 6 from Kenwick and Wilson campuses came together at Mills Park ready to run.

Students in Years 2 to 4 ran 1.5km and the Years 5 and 6 ran 2km. The first three students to finish in each event were selected to represent the College at the WACSSA Cross Country Carnival later in the term.

Apart from the health benefits of running, this event once again had a focus on raising funds to purchase Bibles for those that do not have access to one. The College community came together and raised a whopping $10,316.20 via donations and sponsorship! Thank you to everyone who contributed to this great cause!

Thanks to all the staff for their assistance in running this event, as well as our parents and extended families for making the effort to cheer the children on from the sidelines. Special thanks to Mrs Narelle Henderson for her invaluable assistance with this event, as well as Mr Aaron Norman, Mr Vic Eikelboom, and David Geijsman for their assistance in setting up and packing down.

It was a real blessing to see the students run to the best of their ability, whilst also having the focus of raising important funds to purchase Bibles to help the continuing spread of the Gospel.
