Photograph the City – Year 10 Visual Communication Excursion

Photograph the City - Year 10 Visual Communication Excursion

It was a busy and fun day to photograph the city, and we were blessed with beautiful weather.

On Thursday 27 October, the Year 10 Visual Communication class went on a photography excursion to Perth City and Kings Park. The students were able to practice their photography skills in new and inspiring environments. They were met by tour guides from Two Feet & a Heartbeat for a 2-hour guided walking tour through the city.

The tour began at the Perth Town Hall and included the restored State Buildings, Cathedral Square, London Court, Grand Lane street art, the Hay Street Mall, Wolf Lane street art, Howard Lane street art and Elizabeth Quay.

The students had ample opportunity to photograph interesting architecture and creative street art along the way.

The class jumped back on the bus and travelled to Kings Park for more photo opportunities such as wildflowers, the war memorial, the Tree Top Walk and stunning views of the city and Swan River. It was a busy and fun day, and we were blessed with beautiful weather.

The students will use their photographs in various projects back at school.
