Open Day Fun

After much planning and preparation, last Saturday the Wilson Campus was filled with the sounds of joy, fun, chatter, and laughter as community was celebrated. There were opportunities for families to safely enjoy the many activities, purchase bargains, and indulge in some very tasty food!

The choir, band and individual music items entertained the crowd as well as musical talent from the Senior School. The display of talent was also extended to the brightly displayed classrooms and an exhibition of the Senior School artwork in the Library.

Wayne Blennerhassett along with Amanda, conducted a lively auction of items donated by local businesses such as Outback Jack’s, Big W, Sizzler, Lo Quay and Zamels.

There was also opportunity to chat with potential parents about the value of Christian education at Rehoboth, show them around the campus and especially look at the new buildings. It was wonderful to see a meeting of new parents with founding members and hear them share Rehoboth story.

An amazing $4800 was raised on the day, which is a fantastic effort. Thank you so much for your support. These funds will go towards air conditioning in the current Year 3 & 4 rooms, a new vegetable patch /Bible garden, as well as assist in providing resources for new or extra classes as our school population grows.

I would like to thank the many people that contributed on the day; your efforts were very much appreciated by the whole community.

Also, a very special thanks to the Open Day Committee and parent class representatives. Your tireless efforts and time in meetings, preparation, and organization is amazing. There will be a thank you afternoon tea for all those involved on Thursday afternoon 13th November at 1.30pm before assembly. Please notify the office if you are able to attend by Monday 10th November.
