Facilities and Fleet Team Member

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Christian Facilities and Fleet Team Member to join our College in a full-time position based at our Kenwick campus, commencing Term 3.

Are you a hands-on professional who finds joy in serving others and making a meaningful impact in a Christ-centred community? We are seeking a committed and faithful individual to join our College as a Facilities and Fleet Team Member—a unique hybrid role that combines practical service with daily interaction and care for our students. If this sounds perfect, we want to hear from you!

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently for extended periods, as well as being a real “people person” with a love for sharing life and faith with staff and students in our College community.

About Rehoboth

As the first Christian parent-governed school in Western Australia, we are pioneers of distinctly Christian education. Our rich heritage stretches back almost sixty years; we have learned a fair bit in that time and are always seeking ways to improve and innovate.

Rehoboth exists to partner with families in their God-given task of nurturing and educating their children. You will be joining a team who really believe in their mission to lead students to think and live for the glory of God in every aspect of their lives.

About the Position

Your day will involve safely transporting students to and from the College campus in the mornings and afternoons. This component takes approximately 50 hours per fortnight.

You will also be driving students to and from excursions. Excursions tend to be irregular and intermittent; some weeks may require more bus driving than others, therefore in the downtime, you will have the opportunity to work with the team responsible for the college maintenance. We highly value experience in gardening and handyman/trade skills.

The successful candidate will have a “can-do” attitude and always remain focused on safety and service delivery. The College observes best practice regarding maximum work hours and stand-down/rest requirements for passenger transport drivers.

What You Need to Succeed

Apart from the necessary qualifications, we look for people who are a great cultural fit. Rehoboth is a community of Christians – parents and staff alike. We focus on supporting each other in our spiritual walks, encouraging students to explore their faith and discover their God-given gifts.

Because of the deeply Christian nature of our College we consider all staff to be role models to students, no matter what position they hold. We take your active involvement in a local Protestant Christian church, a deeply committed Christian lifestyle, and ability to articulate your personal Christian faith as evidence of your desire to help build a vibrant Christian community at Rehoboth.

Here are the essential criteria for the position:

  • must be actively involved in a local Protestant Christian church and be able to demonstrate an exemplary Christian lifestyle
  • have a good and safe driving record
  • must hold or be willing to obtain a valid Passenger Transport Driver (PTD) authorisation license
  • must hold minimum Medium Rigid (MR) license
  • must hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check
  • must hold or be willing to obtain a Department of Education Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check that is no more than 3 months old.

How to Apply

  • complete the Non-Teaching Staff Application Form
  • include a comprehensive resume
  • include a letter of reference from your church pastor/minister, and
  • provide a certified copy of your qualifications.
