Employment

Chaplain

An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Christian Chaplain to join our College in a full-time position covering our Primary and Secondary campuses in Term 2. We are looking for an inspired and highly motivated Chaplain who will promote positive social interaction, character development and student and staff wellbeing.

Do you feel called to nurture the spiritual growth of students, staff, and the school community? You may be the outstanding Chaplain we are looking for!

About Rehoboth

As the first Christian parent-governed school in Western Australia, we are pioneers of distinctly Christian education. Our rich heritage stretches back almost sixty years; we have learned a fair bit in that time and are always seeking ways to improve and innovate.

Rehoboth exists to partner with families in their God-given task of nurturing and educating their children. You will be joining a community of staff and families who are united in our mission to equip students to think and live for the glory of God.

About the Position

The Chaplain provides pastoral care support in a non-teaching capacity and contributes to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Your background should include a Cert IV or above in Youth Work, or Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care. Significant experience in a similar role would be highly regarded.

The key objectives of the role:

  • Improve student and staff wellbeing, connectedness and engagement.
  • Support teachers and the College in identifying and developing programs to support vulnerable or at-risk students.
  • Actively engage with parents, caregivers and families about student development and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of policies, processes and programs to support the College’s commitment to child safety.

This is a full-time role, starting in May 2026. The role would be a contract over 44 weeks of the year – during the school term, plus one week of each school holiday period.

What You Need to Succeed

Apart from the necessary qualifications, we look for people who are a great cultural fit. Rehoboth is a community of Christians – parents and staff alike – and we are all about supporting each other in our spiritual walks and encouraging students to explore their faith and discover their God-given gifts.

Because of the deeply Christian nature of our College, we consider all staff to be role models to students, no matter what position they have. We take your active involvement in a local Protestant Christian church, a deeply committed Christian lifestyle, and ability to articulate your personal Christian faith as evidence of your desire to help build a vibrant Christian community at Rehoboth.

Applicants must demonstrate:

  • an active involvement in a local Protestant Christian church, and
  • a consistent and exemplary Christian lifestyle.

Essential requirements:
