Building Opening Whole School

God blessed us with a beautiful day at the end of Term 3 to celebrate the opening of the Early Learning Centre and the Junior Primary classroom block at the Wilson Campus. Our special guests, parents, and students heard about the many dedicated people who contributed to the building program. The President of the Association, Mr Lee Klomp, opened the proceedings, and was followed by an outstanding presentation of two guitar pieces by Year 5 student, Emily Hobday.

The Co-Chair of the Rehoboth Development Campaign, Mr John Bylsma, and Mr Chris van der Veen, the Chair of the Building Task Group, both shared their experiences and insights in the building journey and future projects.

The choir delighted the assembly with two entertaining songs, and the first Principal of Rehoboth, Mr Ross Patterson, along with the present Principal, Mrs Lynne Nixon, officially opened the building by unveiling the commemorative plaque.

The beautifully-presented morning tea, building tours, and a special treat for students of an ice cream cone from a Mr Whippy van completed a fantastic morning of celebration.

Thank you to all who attended this wonderful event and supported us throughout the building process. The staff and students are extremely appreciative of the new facilities and the learning opportunities these provide.

If you were unable to attend the opening, please remember our Open Day on Saturday, 24 October (10:00am-2:00pm) where there will be opportunity tour the new facilities at 11:00am, 12:00pm and 1:00pm.
