Goodbye, Wonderland!

A whimsical journey down the rabbit hole! Our Term 3 production of Alice in Wonderland was a joyful celebration of creativity, teamwork, and student talent.

It feels like a long time ago now. A lot happens in a month! But yes, we wrapped up Term 3 with a production of  Alice in Wonderland at the Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre. And what a production it was.

As the director, mostly what I want to do is keep saying thank you. So much work went into this, from the production team (also known as the Year 12 Drama students), to the parents (especially Heather Wilkens, who sorted all of our costumes), to the Year 11 and 12 cast. They learned lines, attended rehearsals, and gave a huge effort on the day to pull it all together. This was a real labour of love.

The result was a play that was loads of fun for everyone. Was it perfect? No, it never is. Were there mistakes? You bet. More than most people realised. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Did the audience love it? Without a doubt. Am I proud of these young people for their hard work, great attitudes, fantastic organisation, and Christ-like example? Beyond words.

And to everyone who supported the play by buying tickets, bringing friends and family, being a fantastic audience, or even sponsoring the production, thank you for making it all possible!
