From Tokyo to WA: Celebrating Rehoboth’s Sporting Achievements

Rehoboth Secondary athletes have been making waves in the sporting world, showcasing incredible talent and perseverance across a variety of disciplines. From international competitions to state championships, their achievements reflect dedication, teamwork, and God’s blessings.

Rehoboth Secondary athletes have been impressively showcasing their talents and God’s gifts across many sports, from the Deaflympics to Nationals, Championships, and Open Water Swimming.

Rebekah Fraser represented Australia at the 2025 Tokyo Deaflympics, gaining invaluable experience competing alongside world-class Deaf athletes. She achieved multiple personal bests and was a member of the mixed medley relay team that reached the finals, supported by her coach, family, and teammates.

Emma Van Schie was part of the U14 Div 1 Cockburn Cougars Girls’ team that made history as the first Cockburn team to win a National Title and the first WA team to do so since 2006. Following an undefeated WABL season, the team went on to dominate the Australian Footlocker Club Championships, finishing undefeated against teams from across Australia.

Hannah Moylan proudly represented Rehoboth at the WA All Schools Championships, placing 1st in long jump and 3rd in triple jump in the U14 girls’ division. Her results qualified her for Junior Nationals, highlighting a standout athletic performance.
In open-water swimming, Eli and Noah Strahan recorded strong performances. Noah finished 2nd and Eli 3rd in their events. Aviah Odendaal continued her impressive form across multiple races, securing a 1st-place finish in her age group at Rockingham, while Aimee Odendaal showed versatility and endurance, completing her first 5km swim and earning a 3rd-place medal earlier in the year at the Swimming WA State Championships.

Well done, Rehoboth athletes, we’re all proud and cheering you on!
