The past few months have been a very busy and exciting time in the Early Childhood area at the Wilson Campus. We have seen huge transformations in the development of our indoor and outdoor learning environments.
The children have shown immense excitement at exploring the outdoor area, showing fantastic creativity and mature development of their role-play activities. The grassed area has been a fantastic open space, allowing for expansive running and tumbling. This has been great for their gross motor development.
And the good news is… We are only halfway done!
The Early Childhood Team have been liaising with a landscape architect to further develop the new outdoor area. We are very excited to say that we have recently received a completed plan for the Early Childhood Outdoor Learning Area.
Some of the new developments include a tunnel and mound for climbing, crawling, and rolling; a wooden cubby house; a larger bike track with varied textures (including a roundabout and parking bays); and a new sensory nature discovery area with native plants.
