English Literature Student Excursion to Curtin University

Stage 3 English and Literature students enjoyed a day at Curtin University to hear lectures pertaining to their studies. Throughout the day, they listened to five separate lectures, covering important aspects of the curriculum, including: representation, characterisation, exam technique, essay planning and ideology.

It was a case of “have your cake and eat it too”, as students found the lectures satisfying and educational, as well as most enjoyable. Whilst behaving like university students, moving to various lecture theatres, and hearing several varied professors, they learnt even more about the concepts which are crucial to their courses. Mrs Erispe, Mrs Laugharne, and myself had a wonderful time with the students, and were pleased that their teaching was well reinforced.
