As we decoded the universe through vibrant experiments and shared discovery, our students and staff were reminded that every scientific insight is a glimpse into the brilliance of God’s handiwork. This is where learning becomes worship, and creation points us back to the Creator.
This year’s Science Week theme, “Decoding the Universe,” provided a wonderful opportunity for us at Rehoboth Secondary to reflect on the majesty of God’s creation. In partnership with the Year 5 classes from Kenwick Primary, our Science Team led a series of engaging experiments that revealed the beauty and complexity of the Universe—pointing us back to the One who made it all. Later, conducted a staff version in the morning staff devotion.
We explored the colours emitted by different gas elements and investigated their properties, marvelling at the order and design woven into the fabric of creation. These scientific observations were not just educational—they were deeply worshipful. Each discovery reminded us of the greatness of our God, who spoke the Universe into existence.
As Psalm 19:1 declares:
“The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the sky above proclaims His handiwork.”
Through science, we glimpsed the fingerprints of our Creator. The vastness of space, the precision of natural laws, and the beauty of elemental reactions all testify to His wisdom and power.
We are thankful for the opportunity to share this experience with our staff and the younger peers, to learn together, and most importantly, to magnify the Lord through our exploration. May our hearts continue to be stirred by the wonders of His creation, and may our studies always lead us to worship.
