We’ve had a busy start to the year with highlights including Edu-Dance lessons, swimming trips, puzzle activities, and caring for our pet fish and chick eggs, all while marvelling at God’s intelligent designs.
What a busy start to the year the Kenwick Year 3 Reds have had. Our highlights have been Edu-Dance lessons on Fridays with our enthusiastic instructor Miss B. Her smile is infectious, and she has a wonderful way of making learning fun. In just 3 weeks, the dance moves are well on their way to a star performance which we are so looking forward to on 7 April 2025. Nyhiraba is definitely one to watch as her sense of rhythm is delightful. That said, all students are engaging enthusiastically. Don’t forget to bring a beach towel on Friday, Year 3s!
Swimming lessons have been another highlight on our calendar with daily trips to Thornlie Leisure World. Some began their lessons with fear and trepidation, but the friendly environment soon brought those fears to an end, and many have enjoyed learning together amongst their friends. When teary-eyed students tell us they have forgotten their goggles, we are quick to remind them that goggles hadn’t even been invented when Mrs Henderson and Mrs Matthews did swimming lessons at school!
Year 3 Red love doing puzzles! We would love any donations of good quality puzzles if you have any to spare. Come and pop in to see which one we are working on. 😊
We have enjoyed our pet fish, ‘Fish-Fingers’ who quietly and undemandingly resides on our nature table. Mrs Packard has kindly brought in 12 chick eggs. These eggs are over halfway through their incubation period and are due to hatch over the long weekend! We are currently completing an investigation booklet on chickens and are looking forward to recording their growth patterns. The sound of cheeps and soft chick feathers will no doubt be well remembered.
God’s intelligent designs are everywhere, and we marvel at His handiwork.
