Caring for Our Community: Senior Citizens Mail Drop

Wonderful students from both Primary Schools did a very special outreach to our senior citizens during Term 2.

Just over a hundred letters, cards, and pictures were made by our students for the citizens of Manoah House and Juniper Hayloft in Martin.

During COVID-19 our senior citizens were hugely affected by the lack of family visits and normal activities, so they really appreciated the love shown to them from our students.

The senior citizens each got a personally addressed envelope with chocolate, an encouraging Rehoboth note, and a beautiful colouring picture or card made by one of our students. We have received many heartfelt thank-yous from the senior citizens at both Hayloft and Manoah.

A very BIG THANK YOU to each family who took the time to get involved in caring for these members of the community!

‘We must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how He himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive'” – Acts 20:35

We know our students felt very blessed to reach out to our community and show them love in this very special way.
