Capturing Fremantle: Year 10 Visual Comms

The Year 10 Visual Communication class took a creative journey through Fremantle. They captured everything from the bustling harbour to the Sculptures at Bathers.

On 3 April, the Year 10 Visual Communication class went on a photography walking tour through Fremantle. We began at the Fremantle Harbour with views of busy cranes and ships. We walked to the stunningly green South Mole lighthouse, went up the Roundhouse for the daily canon firing and walked along Bathers Beach to see the Sculptures at Bathers exhibition. We stopped for lunch and more photos at Kailis Fishmarket and finished our excursion at the Esplanade.

During the day, the students took photographs, demonstrating the rule of thirds and leading lines. They were also required to take landscapes, portraits and use a variety of camera angles. The students had to submit their best photos of each assessment and will be using these photographs for future class projects. It was an enjoyable day out and beautiful photos were taken. The photos on display were taken by the students.
