What a great Book Fair and Book parade we had at Wilson during this year’s Book Week.
The multipurpose room was abuzz with many parents and students wanting to have a look at the latest releases in children’s fiction, picture books and some interesting nonfiction titles too. A mini bookshop was supplied to us by Scholastic Australia, where teachers, parents and students had the opportunity to buy these titles and support the school at the same time! This was a great fundraiser for the school. We raised $900 for new class and library book stock! Thank you to all parents who participated and helped out.
We also held our annual book parade. Many students dressed up as their favourite book characters and the teachers were all dressed up as characters from the “Little Men and Little Miss” series. What a delight it was to see the creativity of our students coming out in their costumes.
Well done to everyone who participated in this fun event. We look forward again to next year’s Book Week!
