This year’s art competition invited students to express their creativity through the theme “Darkness and Light.” To inspire their work, we provided ideas such as silhouette, light and shade, contrast, night and day, joy and sadness, light in the darkness.
We also shared Scripture to deepen their reflection:
- 1 John 1:5-7 – “God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies from all sin.”
- 1 Peter 2:9 – “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
- John 1:9: “The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.”
