Rehoboth has become more invested in the multitude of sporting opportunities offered through our involvement with the ACC sport association. One such opportunity came on Wednesday 8 May, as the Year 7-9 students had the opportunity to be selected for representative school teams to play in a one-day Soccer Lightning Carnival.
We fielded two boys teams coached by Mr de Bruyn and ex-student Cam Strickling, and a girls’ team coached by Mr Peletier. This competition also provided the opportunity for some senior students to be involved in assistant coaching and officiating.
The focus of the carnival was on participation. All three teams were very successful throughout the day and, despite their being no official standings for the competition, it would be fair to say that Rehoboth has a large number of very talented athletes.
Well done to both players and senior students!
