Enter the Wolfpack: 2017 WA Baptist Basketball Champions

The Rehoboth U18s Basketball team (Reho Wolfpack) are the 2017 Western Australia Baptist Basketball Association champions, after defeating Mount Pleasant Baptist 47-34 at Lakeside Recreation Centre on Saturday 16 September.  

The Wolfpack headed into the game as underdogs after losing to Mount Pleasant 3 times during the season, including a blowout loss just 2 weeks ago in the preliminary finals. However, in the opening half the boys stamped their intent jumping out to a massive 34-12 lead.

Basketball Grand Finals 2016

Year 7-8 Division Grand Final

The Raptors took on the table-topping Warriors to see who would come out on top in the Year 7-8 basketball grand final played today.

The game was hotly contested from the start, with each team going bucket for bucket.

The Warriors were under pressure from the start, with their start player, Esteban Weesner absent. David Oyewopo took up the slack, scoring on numerous occasions inside the paint.

Year 6 Boys Take Out the WACSSA Basketball Championship

Rehoboth continued its fine run of form in WACSSA Basketball Carnivals this year by winning the Year 6 Boys Division A competition. The event, held on Friday 29 July at the Bendat Stadium, saw a Rehoboth team made up of students from both the Wilson and Kenwick campuses competing against teams from Swan, Carey, Kalamunda, and Dale.

The Breakers took on the Spurs and, created lots of opportunities to score in transition. They jumped out to an early lead, and took the ball strongly to the basket, led by Jairus Magsaysay, Brodie Blennerhassett and Matt Catterall. WACSSA Basketball Carnival

On Friday, 14 August, three teams from Rehoboth set out to Ray Owen Recreation Centre in Lesmurdie to compete against other Christian Schools in the annual Secondary Interschool Basketball Carnival.

Under the coaching of Mr Peletier, Mrs Klomp, Year 11 student Isaac Koh and assisted by Mrs Musulin, Mr de Bruyn, and a small cheer squad of parents, our three teams performed outstandingly well, exhibiting fantastic sportsmanship, effort and tenacity.
